  The only thing negative I can say is that their weekly flyer runs from Wed. to Tues. Which is different from other stores and if they run out of stock on a front page item, they don't give rain checks on them because front page items may not be available again for several weeks or even months. The do offer rain checks on other advertised products but their rain checks are valid for 30 days only. Not a single day longer. A small inconvenience for the great service and low prices that they offer.

  Just a great little discount store where you can find a pleasant surprise price on the things that you probably forgot you were looking for ; ^)

  Plus size section has a great variety. I've purchased quite a few items and get lots of compliments. The grocery section always has great sales . The store never disappoints.

  Horrible customer service! I spent about $80 then went to use the washroom as my fiance dropped me off and I was walking home after and they flat out denied me. They said I couldn't bring my already paid for merchandise into the washroom with me....wow. I was dumbfounded as to why i couldn't take the things I OWNED into the washroom with me..?? This wasn't just one slow employee but it was confirmed with ANOTHER employee.. I was fuming and walked out before I lost it. What next, I bought the shirt I was wearing there a few weeks before that. Did I need to remove it before entering the washroom?? Smh, Should have returned all my stuff!

  I have been an occasional shopper at Giant Tiger for a number of years. There stores are clean and bright and their staff is very friendly and helpful. Their choices of products is not as varied as the big box stores but they more than compensate with lower prices. They will always price match any other store in the community and are often less expensive even without price matching. For example I buy Old Dutch Popcorn Twists. The same bag is $3.00 at the Atlantic Superstore and $2.27 at Giant Tiger. Carver's Choice Bacon is 35% cheaper at Giant Tiger. This is only 2 items. Giant Tiger has many excellent quality products that are not even available at otheir stores in the community.
